How To Play Blackjack

Are you new to gambling? Then learn how to play blackjack, for it's one of the easiest steps to take which will enable you to enjoy the exciting entertainment that casinos have to offer.
So, let's take a look at its basic rules... you'll be playing the game at your local casino in no time! Or, if that's rather far away, why not try participating in online blackjack?
Blackjack - The Basic Rules

First of all, you need to understand that the aim of this popular card game is to beat the dealer, not the other players.
In order to achieve this, your cards must add up to a higher value than those of the dealer, without going over 21. If they do go over 21, then you're "bust".
Numbered cards are worth the number on the card. Face cards, such as Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10 points. An Ace can be valued either at 11 points or 1 point - whichever fits best with your hand.
Before the cards are dealt, you'll place your bet. Made sure you know what the betting limits and minimum bet are!
Next, you'll be dealt two cards. The dealer will then give him or herself two cards - one facing up, the other facing down. The value of the upturned card (as well as your own, of course) will help you decide on your next move.
You now have a variety of choices...

You can "stand", which means you don't want anymore cards.
Should you want another card, then you will "hit".
You can "double down", which means you'll double your original bet, but can then only receive one more card.
If your original two cards are of the same value - for example, you have two 8s - then you can "split". This means you'll divide them into two separate hands, and will have to equal your original bet.
Should the dealer's upturned card be an Ace, you may wish to make an Insurance Bet. With this option, if the dealer has a natural blackjack or 21, then you will win.

Once all players are "standing", the dealer will turn over his down-facing card and play his hand. If his cards amount to less than 16, he must hit. Over 21, and he is bust.
Normally, you win when your hand is higher than the dealer's, and you'll
receive 1 to 1 odds. However, if you manage to get 21 or blackjack, then your odds will be 3 to 2.

Well, now you know how to play blackjack! Isn't it time you put in a bit of practise? Good luck!
